Everest Helicopter Tours
Mount Everest up close in a single morning, from Kathmandu
An Everest helicopter tour is the fastest way to see the world's highest mountain up close. You leave Kathmandu at sunrise, fly over the Khumbu valley past Lukla and Namche Bazaar, and circle above Everest Base Camp and the Khumbu Icefall, usually all before lunch.
Most tours land at Kala Patthar for the classic view of Everest, then stop for breakfast at a hotel facing the mountain. No trekking or acclimatisation is needed, which makes it ideal if you are short on time.
Every tour below is operated by a government-licensed Nepal helicopter partner, and you can compare routes, landings and prices before you book.

Best time to fly
Skies are clearest from October to December and from March to May. Flights leave early because mountain weather is most stable in the morning. Keep a spare day in Kathmandu in case the weather moves your flight.
Good to know
Helicopters have strict weight limits at altitude, so each passenger's weight is needed when booking. Landings above 5,000 metres are short for your safety.
Questions about everest helicopter tours
How long does an Everest helicopter tour take?
