Everest helicopter flight: what to expect

Everest helicopter flights leave early in the morning, when the weather over the mountains is usually clearest. Expect a hotel pickup around dawn.

Helicopters have weight and balance limits, so our local partner will ask for each passenger's weight. At high landing points you will only stay a short time, because the air is thin.

Mountain weather changes quickly. Flights can be delayed or moved to the next day, so keep one spare day in Kathmandu.
